The province of Ontario updated the list of essential businesses that can remain open. The restrictions are aimed at further reducing contact between people and stopping the spread of COVID-19. By 11:59 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2020, businesses that are not identified on this list must close their physical locations. Following strong lobbying efforts by construction unions, Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced that the province will be shutting down some parts of the province's construction industry amid efforts to contain COVID-19. Residential construction that is near completion will continue.
Following a review of the list it appears R&F Construction DKI meets the definition of essential services under multiple categories (including #1, #20, #27, #28, #29, #30 and #31). For the complete list of essential services, visit https://www.ontario.ca/page/list-essential-workplaces.
If you have any questions or concerns about an ongoing project, please phone or email your R&F contact person, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or phone the main branch (705-325-5746). We will return your message as soon as possible.
Forging ahead, R&F built several isolation rooms and set up negative air to control air quality and to control the spread if someone comes in with COVID-19 symptoms (example of why we are considered essential - Category #27). We are now providing COVID-19 Cleaning Services. For more information or to speak with us, call 1-800-228-7739.
