Hurricane Fiona “CAT” RESTORATION CONSTRUCTION – Cape Breton, NS

Hurricane Fiona was a large, powerful, and destructive Category 4 Atlantic hurricane which was the costliest and most intense tropical or post-tropical cyclone to hit Canada on record.

In September 2022, R&F Construction DKI assisted Meco Construction DKI in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia with both manpower and resources after the recent on-slaught of Hurricane Fiona.  This unfortunate weather event created an overflow of claims were submitted to the insurance companies during this catastrophe, and the DKI network was able to assist their member Meco Construction DKI with extra resources needed to handle these by tapping other DKI members in eastern Canada who could assist – one of which was our team at R&F Construction.

90% of these were damaged roof claims, both minor and grevious–with people needing assistance to secure their homes from further water and wind damage.
